Grades that are measured

A conviction grade should be calculated, not felt.

Most services pin confidence words to a call — “strong”, “high conviction” — that flex to whatever the sender means by them that day. A measured conviction grade works on another principle entirely: it locates the call inside its own model's spread of returns, with a figure standing behind the letter.

On the pick, every call wears a grade from A (highest) to D (lowest), with the threshold drawn per model. No E grade exists; it was pulled from the live product so the scale would hold its meaning. The bar an A has to clear is measured against each model's own returns, which is why one letter maps to different absolute moves on different clocks:

ModelHolding clockGrade-A bar (per trade)
Day Tradesame session, a 0 to 60 minute window0.70% avg / trade
Multi Hourfrom half a session up to two sessions4.50% avg / trade
Swing Traderoughly 7 to 28 days held6.00% avg / trade
Investinga long, higher-conviction horizonlong-horizon

An A sits in the top band of a model's own measured spread of returns; D is the lowest band still published. What makes the scale honest is that the bar is set per clock. An A on the flagship Swing Trade model means a move near 6.0% a trade, because a position carried for weeks has room to travel that far; an A on a same-session call clears a far smaller bar near 0.70%. Both read as “top band for this horizon” rather than one fixed target pasted across clocks that have nothing in common. And there is no E grade — it left the live product, so the four steps each keep a distinct meaning.

Why per-model calibration matters to a swing trader

One threshold shared across every model would quietly reward the slow book and penalise the quick one: a 6.0% multi-week swing move and a 0.70% same-session move are not comparable in raw size, so judging both against one absolute target would tell you nothing useful. Grading each call against its own model's spread means a B on a Swing Trade alert and a B on a Day Trade alert each say the same thing — “above-typical for this horizon” — which is precisely the signal a swing trader needs when the model fires only a handful of times a quarter and the question is which of those calls to weight most.

And since the grade is one of the fields carried into the on-chain fingerprint (see locked before it played out), it is settled the moment the call goes out and cannot be rewritten after the trade closes. That is what stops a grade from being a marketing dial turned up after a winner finally prints.

Where the field falls short

What failing this test looks like

A grade fails this test the moment it is a word rather than a number — and an unhashed grade fails it twice over, because it can also be rewritten once the trade is in.

  • Messaging-app channels (Telegram, Discord). Here the operator owns the post history outright. A swing call can be slipped in after the trend turned, edited where it sits, or deleted without a trace, so it fails locked before it played out on its face — and usually the denominator with it, because the losing posts simply never get written.
  • Copy-trading rooms. A touch more checkable than a chat, since a platform logs participant results — but the individual swing calls are seldom timestamped per signal and seldom graded, so they miss locked before it played out and a measured grade even where a rough denominator survives.
  • Social-media callers. Posts get quietly deleted or selectively amplified, and the income usually flows from broker affiliate links, so a single caller tends to drop nearly every test together — locked before it played out, a denominator you can see and clean incentives all at once.
  • Signal-aggregator sites. They re-publish other people's swing calls without auditing any of them, so every gap in the original record is inherited and carried forward unfixed. They fail a re-openable record by descent, before you even read a single call.

This is why the guide frames itself as ranking a field rather than reviewing a single product: a grade tied to measured returns and frozen before the outcome is precisely the test most of the field cannot clear, and clearing it is the thing worth paying for.

The grade is one of the fields the timestamp protects, and it only means anything on top of a re-openable record — a grade calibrated against a curated highlight reel is calibrated against a lie. To see how the grade and the other fields are confirmed together on a single call, follow the verification walkthrough.
